Sunshine Stars begins training ahead of new NPFL season with new coach

Can this man deliver the needed success for Akure-based club come this new season?

Newly appointed Sunshine Stars coach Samson Unuanel together with the players are to
resume training today Sunday ahead of the new NPFL season.
Although the Akure-based club are very busy in the transfer market, club president Akin Akinbobola, who also doubles as chairman of the Ondo State Football Agency said they are not willing to allow any of their top players move to another NPFL club this transfer window.

Unuanel has previously worked at Kwara United and Ocean Boys, and is now saddled with steering the Akure club for the 2015/16 NPFL season which is expected to start this January year.

Unuanel replaces Kennedy Boboye, who resigned at the end of the season to join Abia Warriors after Sunshine Stars missed the chance to qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup.
