NPFL Matchday Mayhem: LMC reprimands Ifeanyi Ubah, Bans Heartland's Ebere Obi

In the NPFL Match played on March 23, 2016 between Ifeanyi Uba FC and Heartland of Owerri in which Ifeanyi Uba FC won by 1-0, The LMC have announced that the owner of IfeanyiUbah FC has been reprimanded for failing to show positive example by encroaching on the pitch and fueling the disturbances that led to the harassment of players of Heartland
by his team members and personal aides.
Subsequently, the LMC slapped a three-match ban on Heartland goalkeeper Ebele Obi after a free-for-all fight at the recent league match. Ebele Obi, older brother of Chelsea star Mikel, alleged that he was punched by Ifeanyi Ubah before he was beaten up by security men.
Heartland Football club were consequently fined N750, 000 for failing to properly control their players after the match day 8 game against FC IfeanyiUbah which led to their accosting of the match referee in a manner that resulted in his being assaulted.
