Mamelodi Sundowns F.C are Champions of Africa

Mamelodi Sundowns F.C became only the second team to win the CAF African Champions League after Oralndo Pirates won it in 1995. Mamelodi Sundowns (aka "The Brazilians") achieved this feat after defeating Zamalek FC of Egypt 3-1 on aggregate.

 The South African club will get $1.5m for claiming the trophy, and in addition
the Pretoria-based side will also now represent Africa at December's FIFA Club World Cup.

Sundowns, who are owned by billionaire mining magnate Patrice Motsepe, will now contest December's FIFA Club World Cup in Japan.The FIFA Club World Cup, which features the champions of each continent, including UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid, will take place between 8-18 December.
