IBF Boxing super-middleweight champion James DeGale may have hung on to his title – but it came at the expense of his front tooth. The Londoner was involved in a thrilling battle with Badou Jack in Brooklyn which the officials decided that the match ended in a majority draw with DeGale hanging onto his IBF world title and Jack retaining his WBC belt which
was a title unification fight.
Both fighters were knocked to the canvas – Jack in the opening round and DeGale in the 12th – and both felt they had done enough to win the fight and unify the super-middleweight division.
