Kenya's Abraham Kiptum wins Lagos City Marathon For Second Consecutive Time

Abraham Kiptum has won the 2017 Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, retaining the top prize which he won in the maiden edition in 2016.
The 27-year-old Kenyan finished the line in 2 hours and 10 minutes, an improvement over
his run of 2 hours, 16 minutes and 19 seconds in the marathon of 2016. His current performance is also an improvement over his personal best recorded at the Rabat Marathon, Morocco, in which he finished at 2 hours, 11 minutes and 36 seconds in 2015.

The Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, a 42.1 kilometers affair, has grown rapidly in profile, ranking among the world’s top marathons in the athletics calendar and about 100,000 runners from over 25 countries participated in the second edition of the race.
